Northwest MUD wants to highlight several projects aimed at improving the MUD’s water and sanitary sewer infrastructure. These upgrades are crucial to maintaining high-quality utility services for the community, even if they’re not always visible to the public.

Here are a few examples:
Graffiti Removal in Northwest Freeway. The Northwest Freeway MUD has been working with local law enforcement to cover graffiti in the District. The goal is that the improved appearance will cause ripple effects that will have the potential of enhancing the entire community.
Smart Meters. District completed converting all meters to smart meters. The district engineer is installing a generator at # 3 water well and other projects at water well # 3.
Infrastructure. Construction is currently underway for the expansion of Water Plant No. 3, which includes new water storage infrastructure and the addition of a natural gas emergency generator to ensure water service during extended power outages.
Maintenance. Existing infrastructure at Water Plant 3 has been recoated. Protective coatings are essential to extend the life of water storage infrastructure.
These District projects offers a range of important benefits for Northwest Freeway residents, businesses, and communities that rely on groundwater. By proactively addressing mechanical issues the District plans to prolong the life of our infrastructure.
