NHCRWA Fee Increase April 1, 2021

April 9, 2021 7:00 am

While Northwest Freeway Municipal Utility District (Northwest Freeway MUD) continues to keep monthly water rates as low as possible, residents of the district will see an increase in their water bills after April 1, 2021, due to an increase in the groundwater fees imposed by the North Harris County Regional Water Authority (NHCRWA).

The NHCRWA surcharges will increase from $4.67 per thousand gallons of water used to $5.06 per thousand gallons. This rate includes an administrative and accountability fee, which is reflected in the amount on each water bill. Northwest Freeway MUD residents are encouraged to conserve water whenever possible.
